about the film
The film takes place in Catlands, the union of distinct feline territories inhabited by cats of various social statuses. The delicate established status quo is disrupted by newcomers trespassing the lawns of the cats’ united territories. To address this international issue, the most prominent residents devise a cunning plan, one that cannot be executed without harming some innocent victims.
about the author
Ana Čigon (1982) is an artist who primarily works in the fields of video, film, and performance. Her projects often explore social and feminist themes, memory and public monuments, marginalized social groups, LGBTIQ+ issues, critiques of neoliberalism, and more. She mainly creates documentary films and, more recently, short animated works. She occasionally produces videos for theatre and takes part in collective performative projects. Her works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions as well as film festivals in Slovenia and abroad. She has received several awards for her achievements in visual and audiovisual production.
